  This is my think board , I have learnt that everything is not perfect . Some things have remainders  like my answer . It has a remainder  of 8 . The strategy I have used is division and I have made a picture of my working out . I have put 10 similar questions in to . 

   

Triangle addition

 

This is my Triangle addition , Today in my maths class we learnt our Triangle addition . We had to add our decimals till it reached 3.518 , but we had to do it in separate parts . I had learnt that you have to learn your place values before you try doing this. After this I am going to be doing a think board and a presentations.

my name is Ebony I go to Pt England School in Auckland, New Zealand . I’ve written a letter to you because I just saw the letter you wrote to your brother Louis I hope you recover soon .

I am really happy you survived  your injury it looks really sore .  I hope for you and your brother’s  to see eachother again . I wish you luck for when you go back to world war 1 in 9 months. In my thought’s I think that you should be sent home because of your injury but the government is going to send you back  to the war.

Future Aspirations

Yesterday morning Marcus Winter also known as the Sandman  and Louis Gordan-Latty came to our school and showed us a bit of what they do in there time .Marcus Winter is a professional sand artist , he started off on the streets of Auckland City . He had a awesome talent which he did not really notice so he thought bigger and went a long way . He went over sea's and on a lot of big ship's he was also on television.

He struggled in school he thought he was cool because he would always go to a special class, but then he realized in intermediate that the special class was for people who needs to catch up on work because they are falling behind they need to learn  a bit more so they can be normal .My favourite quote of his was "Bro- you got bounced" it meant that you had being rejected from something . Marcus told us about his story of being bounced because he applied for plenty of jobs. And did he get accepted to any of them? no he did not but then there was one job where he did it was a artist job and that's how it all started.

After that Louis Gordan-Latty talked to the year 7 & 8 block he was a technology and basketball person. He started playing basket ball when he was 8-10 years old he thought of something he loved and thought of something to do of technology it took him along time to figure it all out then he made it. It was a app that could record you playing any type of game and shows your scored and the recording to your whole game that's really COOL ! .

Mr Burt's korero

Last Thursday  our lovely principal Mr Burt came into the senior block and was talking to us about , is technology good or bad? And world war 1.Mr Burt's grandfather fort in world world 1 , he was aged 88 when he died . He was Mr Burt's best friend even though he was a little old and Mr Burt was young he was inspired in him . The british started building weird things and weapons so then the german copied it was a on going thing .

Is technology good or bad? I think that technology is both good and bad . Because it’s made for good things but people use it in a bad way. For example a gun? Is it good or bad? . Well it’s good for war and things , but not for people out in the streets because they can go shooting people when it’s a bad thing.

Think Board Fractions

This is my think board , this is my working out on fractions . We had to make a word problem and make 10 other similar questions . I have also showed a diagram on how I worked it out, and I have used unknown parts of multiplication. The question was 7/12 of 156 = 91. 

My Mascot : Animals at war.

This is my mascot slideshow , We are learning to find out if animals went to the world war 1 and what type of animals went and why? I was really excited to do it best I love animals and I like studying about it . These are some of the things that I studied about . I am in red panda's and we had to make a slide show , And answer all the questions .We also had to make a google drawing and pick a animals I would take to the war . I picked A dog :)

Alphabet Multipilication 4

This is my forth alphabet multiplication I really like these because I am learning my multiplication and new words . We have being doing theses weekly and also presentations I like to change my colours to make it nice and colourful not plain and boring , Our aplhabet multiplication words are based on anzac words .Because it is the 100th anniversary this year .

Zeal Zone , Week 3

Today I am in Mrs Tele'as group , And we are making anzac biscuits . We had to get into group's of five it was Sela,Promise,Keis,Jennifer and me . Together we worked as A team and our anzac biscuits were successful , Our team was the first to finish and we made A second batch , I cant wait to eat them !!

I am in Mr Wiseman's class for literacy , And we are learning about mascots that were in world war 1 , We had to pick A animal and write why we picked it. I picked A dog because they are A man's best friend.

Zeal Zone , Week 2

I am in Mrs Moala's Class for Zeal zone , And we are researching about Anzac , And we have to make A slide show about what we have learnt, We got put into groups of four , I was with Matiu,Ben and Nikki . We worked really well with each other , Mrs Moala gave us A date and reserched about in our date was 29th Of September 1918, I hope you like .
